A new partnership was sealed on 16 April 2025 between SKEMA Business School and the Jacques Delors Institute, the leading think tank dedicated to European affairs. The aim: to raise awareness among young people of major European issues while developing synergies in research and education.

The collaboration was formalised by Sylvie Matelly, Director of the Jacques Delors Institute, and Patrice Houdayer, Vice-Dean for Academic and International Affairs at SKEMA.

"Thinking about Europe and training students to understand its key challenges is more necessary than ever in today’s world and for the future," said Sylvie Matelly. "Through this collaboration with the Jacques Delors Institute, SKEMA is committed to embedding a European dimension in its global development," added Patrice Houdayer.

A partnership structured around six key pillars

  1. Youth: The Jacques Delors Institute will contribute to Youth Talks, the global youth observatory launched by the Higher Education for Good Foundation, created by SKEMA.

  2. Research: SKEMA faculty will contribute to the Institute’s publications.

  3. Think tanks: Joint development of initiatives and events around shared themes between the two organisations.

  4. Executive education: Tailored programmes and content will be created together.

  5. Student programmes: Masterclasses, internships, and guest lectures will strengthen direct links between students and the Institute.

  6. Joint events: Geopolitical breakfasts and dinners centred on current European affairs.

Two institutions, one shared vision

Founded in 1996, the Jacques Delors Institute sheds light on EU policymaking and engages citizens through its analyses, publications and Académie Notre Europe – a free programme dedicated to people aged 16 to 30. With 11,000 students of 130 nationalities, a global presence and an educational model focused on innovation, multiculturalism and sustainability, SKEMA continues its mission: to train future-ready changemakers. This partnership brings together academic expertise and civic commitment to build a more informed, engaged and influential Europe.
