SKEMA celebrates educational milestones in China, pledges continued cooperation
In a testament to the power of international education collaborations, SKEMA Business School has marked significant milestones with its Chinese partners, Nanjing Audit University and Xi'an Jiaotong University. These events not only underscore the success of their joint programmes, but also strengthen SKEMA's unwavering commitment to nurturing global talents.
On October 18, SKEMA's dean and executive president Alice Guilhon joined the celebration of Nanjing Audit University's 40th anniversary, which coincided with the inauguration of its new Mochou campus.
This event was attended by an esteemed delegation from SKEMA, including Patrice Houdayer (executive vice president), Céline Gobeill (chief people and organisation officer), and Christophe Germain (vice-dean of SKEMA's new schools (AI, Law, Geopolitics and Design). SKEMA consolidated its partnership with Nanjing Audit University (NAU) in 2020, with the establishment of the International Joint Audit Institute NAU-SKEMA.
During NAU's anniversary celebration, Alice Guilhon said that by adopting an innovative approach for the institute, SKEMA and NAU would be committed to cultivating more auditing professionals with international vision and global skills. Through their joint efforts, the International Joint Audit Institute NAU-SKEMA would play a greater role as a bridge between academic exchanges between China and France, and even the world.
Accredited by the Chinese Ministry of Education as one of the pioneering Chinese-Foreign cooperatively run institutions of higher education, this joint institute offers a four-year full-time undergraduate programme. It welcomes 300 Chinese students annually through the GAOKAO exam, offering them four distinct specialisations. Currently, there are 1200 Chinese students studying in this institute.
Xi'an Jiaotong University: MSc Entrepreneurship & Innovation (Big Data and AI Management) graduation ceremony
On October 21, a remarkable ceremony was organised at Xi'an Jiaotong University, where 60 graduates from the MSc Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Management) programme were awarded their well-deserved degrees. This programme, a testament to educational excellence, is a joint initiative between China's prestigious Xi'an Jiaotong University and SKEMA Business School.
Xi'an Jiaotong University's president, Shuguo Wang, remarked that the collaboration with SKEMA blended systematic management in this joint programme, dedicated to cultivating pioneers in this era of technological revolution. He encouraged all the graduates to develop a global perspective, foster friendship between China and France, and contribute to societal progress.
The aim of this programme is to mold the next generation of industry leaders in entrepreneurship and innovation. SKEMA's executive vice president, Patrice Houdayer, graced the occasion with an inspiring speech. This programme, which commenced in the 2020 academic year, has recruited about 240 students across four classes. Upon completing two years of rigorous study, students earn coveted degrees from both SKEMA (MSc) and the Chinese Ministry of Education.
SKEMA's participation in these milestone events underscores not only its dedication to nurturing global talents but also its commitment to fostering international educational cooperation. These partnerships extend SKEMA's influence worldwide and showcase the ever-growing importance of global collaboration in the dynamic landscape of higher education.
