SKEMA hosts conference of Laboratoire de recherche juridique

In partnership with SKEMA Business School's Master in Business Law, LexisNexis, the Laboratoire de Recherche Juridique of the Université Littoral Côte d'Opale, will organise a conference at SKEMA’s Lille campus on Friday, 27 January, titled "The Localisation of Legal Relations". Many researchers in private law and criminal sciences from major French universities will be present.

​The day will be divided into two parts. After a welcoming speech, Isabelle Bufflier, professor and head of the double degree in business law, will speak on: "The company confronted with the ethical challenges of the localisation of legal relations".

The other presentations of the morning will be structured as follows and will focus on the theme "Why localise the legal relationship?":

  • 10.30 am: The purposes of localising the employment relationship and the worker, by J.P. Tricoit, senior lecturer HDR in private law and criminal sciences, University of Lille.
  • 10.55 am: Discussion and break.
  • 11.10 am: The localisation of the consumer contract as an element of consumer protection, by Amélie Thouément, senior lecturer in private law and criminal sciences, Université du Littoral Côte d'Opale.
  • 11:35 am: The importance of the location of the offence in a criminal law based on the principle of territoriality, by Rodolphe Mesa, senior lecturer in private law and criminal sciences.
