SKEMA to organise the first Coupe de France des ESC Padel tournament
SKEMA Business School is proud to announce the launch of the first French Cup of padel for business schools, on 6 and 7 April 2024. This initiative, led by the SKEMA Sports association and the Sports Office, is part of a commitment to meet the growing enthusiasm among students for padel, a racket sport that combines dynamism and team spirit.
This competition is being organised for the first time. It will be held in Sophia Antipolis at the prestigious Mouratoglou Tennis Academy, a centre of training excellence, which provides participants with top-tier facilities, including four dedicated courts.
Eight top business schools to compete
Eight leading business and management schools will rise to the challenge, with confirmed attendance from business schools such as HEC, ESCP, ESSEC, KEDGE, ESC Clermont, emLyon, and EDHEC. Over the two days, the competition will see sixteen teams face off, including mixed teams, each backed by a coach and a substitute. The competitors will include players ranked in padel (between ranks of 1000 and 3500).
High-level partners
Alongside the main competition, a "Legends Tournament" will offer additional entertainment, showcasing the coaches and sports heads from the participating schools to foster a spirit of conviviality. Among the partners of this event, we count the Mouratoglou Academy, of course, but also Philippe Gars, head of the PACA university league; Christian Collange, in charge of Padel development in the PACA region; Alix Barbe, a SKEMA alumnus and CEO of Revers Boisé; Michael Kuzay, CEO of TWENTY BY TEN; and Franck Binisti, founder and editor-in-chief of Padel Magazine.
