SKEMA Raleigh: FMI Master students in NYC for Finance Trek

In October, the 38 students in the MSc Financial Markets and Investments programme on the Raleigh Campus spent a few days in the finance capital of the world for the annual SKEMA USA Finance Trek.

Through a variety of events, tours, and networking opportunities, students were able to experience the NYC finance world first-hand.

They visited several prominent financial institutions, including Goldman Sachs, Societe Generale Corporate and Investment Banking (SGCIB), Bloomberg, and UniCredit, where they had the opportunity to meet and exchange with finance experts. They also toured the New York City Stock Exchange (NYSE) and witnessed the ringing of the bell to signal the closing of trading. The trek ended with a SKEMA alumni networking event, where students connected with and learned from 20+ SKEMA alumni living and working in the NYC area, most of them in the finance industry.

Students truly embraced this opportunity to boost their knowledge, expand their network in NYC, and learn about roles in finance and investment banking - which is especially valuable to those who intend to work in the US upon completion of their programme in the spring.
