SKEMA Suzhou students visit the campus of aeronautics giant Safran

On 3 April, SKEMA students visited in Suzhou the campus of Safran, a key global player in the aerospace industry. The visit was led by Matthieu Dumont, director of SKEMA Business School's Suzhou campus, and Talent & Careers consultant April Yang.

On their arrival at the site, the students were greeted by David Lasne (general manager of Safran China Suzhou and deputy general manager of Safran China) and Vivian Zhang Wei (human resources manager at Safran China Suzhou). "Visiting Safran was a marvellous opportunity for our students to get to know the aerospace industry," said Matthieu Dumont, adding: "We are committed to working closely with leading companies like Safran to provide our stud​ents with hands-on experience and prepare them to adapt to the professional environment in the future."


A speci​​​al visit


David Lasne welcomed the students and gave them an overview of Safran's activities, focusing on Safran Aircraft Engines, Safran Landing Systems and Safran Nacelles. He also highlighted the group's commitment to sustainable development and innovation, which has made Safran a global frontrunner in the aerospace industry.

After the visit, the SKEMA students were given an exclusive tour of Safran's campus in Suzhou, where they saw how the company's products and services are manufactured and tested. They also had a chance to talk to Safran employees and ask questions. "I was inspired by the level of professionalism and dedication of Safran employees. The visit also enabled me to network with industry professionals and explore potential career paths," said Bingbing Tang, an MSc International Business student at the Suzhou campus.


A partnership between Safran​ and SKEMA


SKEMA Business School has a partnership with Safran, a company well established in China for several years now. Through job fairs, company visits and internships, the two institutions provide students with the practical experience and skills they need to succeed in the job market.​
