SKEMA US: Finance student runs Chicago Marathon

In October, French-Salvadoran student Juliette Kahn from the SKEMA Raleigh campus ran the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. The race took place on her birthday week – Juliette proudly ran 26.2 miles for her 26th birthday, and under 4 hours.

The week leading up to the marathon, Juliette was in New York City visiting major finance companies and networking with finance experts and alumni, as part of the annual Finance Trek organised by SKEMA USA for the Financial Markets and Investments (FMI) Master students.

While in Raleigh, Juliette trains multiple times a week – including a weekly run with the SKEMA US running group led by finance professor Dr. Michael Lee.

In addition to her passion for running, Juliette is a dedicated squash player and recently had the opportunity to play squash in Raleigh with Amanda Sohby, #1 national US champion and three-times Pan-American Games gold medalist.

Juliette is also delegate for the FMI class. She will be studying on the Raleigh campus for the next year until she completes the FMI Master programme in the spring.
