SKEMA US: Mentors, experts introduce students to US culture and business

Thanks to the SKEMA USA Mentoring Program offered in partnership with NC State Global Training Initiative, over 60 master's students on the SKEMA Raleigh campus have the opportunity every semester to be paired with local mentors with whom they can exchange on career, professional development, US culture, and more.

Mentees also have access to the Expert Council, a group of professionals willing to discuss their areas of expertise (such as finance, marketing, entrepreneurship, etc.) with students and answer any questions they may have through one-on-one sessions.

Through these interactions, SKEMA students have the opportunity to not only gain valuable professional guidance, but also to sharpen the skills they will need for post-graduation success in a global economy: professionalism, leadership, cross-cultural communication, networking, cultural adaptability, and more. They also often attend traditional American events, such as the annual and very popular North Carolina State Fair.

This semester, SKEMA US hosted several networking events on campus to give mentees the opportunity to meet and connect with both the mentors and the various professionals from the Expert Council.
