SKEMA USA: 45% of 2022 MSc grads opt to launch careers in US

This past year, many students moved to the SKEMA Raleigh campus to study in the MSc Financial Markets and Investments and MSc International Business programmes with the dream and ambition of working in America. So far, about 30 of them have successfully secured a position with a company in the United States.

Some have settled in large cities such as New York City, Chicago, and Dallas. Others have decided to stay in the Raleigh area or move to sunny Florida. Their roles range from audit assistant at Deloitte, analyst at Credit Suisse, to recruitment consultant in Texas, and marketing executive in North Carolina. Thanks to the OPT programme (Optional Practical Training), these SKEMA Raleigh graduates from around the world are able to stay in the US and work for up to one year following the completion of their master’s.

Many of them have sought the guidance of SKEMA US career services manager, Amanda Chamberlain, who coaches students on topics that range from personal branding, LinkedIn profile, US resumes, to networking, interview preparation, and more, ensuring students have the support they need for a successful job search and rewarding career in the US.
