SKEMA wins prestigious award for innovative pedagogy with 'La Table de Marie'
In an ever-evolving educational landscape, SKEMA Business School's pedagogical innovation has stood out with its forward-thinking approach to learning at the Digital Learning Trophies. The school received the "Digital Learning in Higher Education" award for its "serious game" exercise: "La Table de Marie".
The serious game "La Table de Marie" is a game designed to raise students' awareness about the crucial challenges in knowledge management. This game is part of a Knowledge Management Challenge led by Béatrice Toustou, professor and head of the challenge, which brings together 720 third-year students from the Master in Management (PGE) programme, from all the French campuses of SKEMA.
This serious game, which involves a collaborative simulation of managing a high-end restaurant, enables students to find meaning in their actions and benefit from real-time feedback from coaches and markers. This constant interaction, which reinforces learning, enables complete immersion into common workplace situations.
