Students get training in ‘no code’ app development method
This October, SKEMA is once again joining forces with Wild Code School and the startup Bubble to organise a hackathon around "no code", a web development technique that consists of using software to design websites or smartphone applications without having to know programming languages.
From 11 to 13 October, M1 students from SKEMA's French and international campuses will receive training in "no code", thanks to our partnership with the Wild Code School, a tech school that offers, among other things, training in development. This year, students will be asked to explore a historical era of their choice and create an application adapted to the needs of that era.
During this 100% online challenge, the participants will work on a project in teams, with the support of several mentors (a dozen in total), on a "peer-to-peer" model, giving pride of place to learning with and from peers. For students, it is also a way of learning independently.
Studying as a team
Ultimately, the objective for these students is to develop a digital project using 'no code' and obtain a better understand of this digital environment; teamwork will be the key. The winning team will receive $1,000 in Bubble credits for six months.
A skill to showcase
This year, academia and business are joining forces to encourage learners to open up their field of tech skills, which will be indispensable in business careers. As an idea accelerator, no code can also serve as a serious basis for entrepreneurs who want to build their business from A to Z. The no code platforms can be used to create a website (WordPress) or a smartphone application (using Airtable, Bubble, etc.).
At the end of the three days, students will be able to obtain the "wild masterclasses & mentors" certification badge.
