Three student associations collaborate to celebrate Chinese New Year
Students from the Kosmopolitans, Diskovery and PAPS student associations recently organised an event around Chinese New Year in the SKEMA Learning Lab and Agora at the Grand Paris campus. Many activities related to the Chinese culture were held by the students.
Kosmopolitans, an association that creates links between SKEMA's national and international students, PAPS, an association that campaigns for animal protection, and Diskovery, an association that promotes the culinary arts, transformed the Grand Paris campus during the traditional Lunar New Year! "We all worked together to organise this celebration. PAPS suggested activities based on rabbits (as it's the Year of the Rabbit).
Kosmopolitans, which oversaw the event, held a calligraphy stand with Mandarin teacher Jingli Lantigner. Diskovery worked with Le Petit Saigon, a restaurant in Suresnes, to offer a special menu to students on campus. In total, about thirty students worked on this event," explains Constance de Lauzon, president of Kosmopolitans, currently in the Master in Management (PGE), and a speaker of the language of Confucius!
In addition to culinary activities, calligraphy, and raising awareness on protecting animals, the students sang some songs in Chinese, as part of a small karaoke session!
