Two SKEMA alumni among 10 most powerful women in Hauts-de-France

A few days after the publication of the study "Diversity and Inclusion in the CAC40" by Professor Michel Ferrary, director of the SKEMA Observatory on the Feminisation of Companies and associate researcher at SKEMA, and in the wake of International Women's Rights Day, the Voix du Nord newspaper has published an article on ten powerful women in the Hauts-de-France economy.

Amélie Debrabandère, an alumna of the Master in Management (PGE) programme (SKEMA 1992), is on the list. As the director of SIA Habitat, a social housing provider in Douai, since 2021, she "has spent her entire career in the social housing sector in the Hauts-de-France region," mentions Voix du Nord. In 2023, Amélie Debrabandère will oversee 640 employees in the Nord and Pas-de-Calais regions.

Originally from a small town in the Arras region, Corinne Molina is the second SKEMA alumna to be honoured by La Voix du Nord. A graduate of the PGE programme (SKEMA 1985), the company director (co-founder and vice-president of the group) heads Mäder, a company specialising in paints and composites for industry, based in Villeneuve d'Ascq, in the suburbs of Lille.

In 2023, the company employs 700 people, and in 2019 its turnover was 200 million euros. In an interview in 2021 on women's leadership for the BeCrazy magazine, she said: "In the industrial world, there are few women in management or technical positions. We need to help them develop their presence in this sector, and I am happy to be part of this movement. But I am not into fighting. We must discreetly change things and mentalities, with humility and simplicity."
