Global BBA - Bachelor in Management

To graduate, students must validate 39 teaching modules spread over four years. This degree is worth 240 ECTS credits made up of general education courses, management courses, courses with a global dimension and courses related to the specialisation chosen by the student.

​General education​

These courses ensure that students gain a broad-based understanding of the global business environment while developing critical thinking and communication skills (foreign language / business and economics calculus / consumer computer applications, science, business and professional writing…)

Management fundamentals

In addition to general education requirements, students complete 30 credit hours of core business fundamentals, establishing a solid foundation of common knowledge required to take on responsibilities across disciplines in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors (principles of modern management / business law / marketing principles…)

Global skills

Global business courses illustrating the different aspects of management with specific applications to the territory of the campus (South Africa, Brazil, France, China, United States, Spain, UAE).

Specialisations and electives

Students are free to choose courses from the SKEMA course catalogue or that of our partners. This means that they can acquire knowledge and skills in line with their individual career plan.  Students may also enrol in a specialisation, taking a number of recommended advanced courses; these are recognised by a special mention on the diploma.
 

As well as our Raleigh (USA), Nanjing (China); Dubai (UAE) and Belo Horizonte (Brazil) campuses, we ​offer an attractive network of international partners.

​Each international partner university has been chosen as it offers the best chances of success for our students while meeting our demanding quality criteria. 

SKEMA’s international campuses (One- and Two-Year Mobility Track)

At our Brazilian (Belo Horizonte), Chinese (Nanjing) and US (Raleigh) campuses, students experience total immersion: local infrastructure, academic and sporting facilities, etc. Our campuses are located at the heart of university areas so students are in constant contact with international teachers and local students.  

From the third year, all BBA in Global Management​ ​students may attend these campuses for a semester or a full year of study.

Requirements:

• Academic results: 2.5 GPA minimum
• English language: TOEFL score of 80/120 minimum 

The 4x4 mobility option

The 4x4 option gives students the choice of doing each year of study on a different SKEMA campus: four years of study in four different countries starting from French campuses! This new mobility option is possible thanks to the international nature of SKEMA and our Global BBA programme. Accessing the 4x4 option is dependent on excellent academic results as well as the choice of specialisation that students make at the end of their first year of study

EADA and SKEMA create a double degree BBA in Barcelona

Since September 2022, students on the new EADA X SKEMA Global BBA double-degree course will be able to spend their first two years on EADA’s campus in Barcelona, then go on a mobility track during the third year on one of SKEMA's six French and international campuses (Lille, Sophia Antipolis, Raleigh, Nanjing, Belo Horizonte or Dubai), and then spend their fourth year either in Barcelona or on one of SKEMA's campuses, depending on the specialisation they will choose.

This double degree is also an opportunity for our SKEMA Global BBA students to immerse themselves in Barcelona, with its ultra-dynamic economic centre, where they will be able to take the "sustainable innovation" specialisation.

At the end of their course, they will receive the ‘Diplôme d'Etudes Supérieures en Management International des Entreprises’ from SKEMA (accredited and graded diploma) as well as EADA's own diploma.

Academic advisors

In th​is video, Alessio Lucio, academic director of the Global BBA, talks about the tutoring system at the school.

The​ tutors are dedicated teachers who are on campus three to four days per week. They meet individually with each student at least six times a year. But there is no limit to how many times a student may seek their tutor’s assistance. A simple​ schedule hangs next to tutors’ doors, and that’s all that’s needed to guarantee a 15-minute, to one-hour, appointment within two days at most.

Tutors are mentors, who foster students’ ambitions and professional goals. They are also advisors, sharing their insights on industry and job market trends to optimize students’ profiles. They guide students within the limits of what is possible, yet they only provide advice: students remain the sole and final decision-makers of their academic choices.

For our students, tutors are a special human link with the school, as well as for their parents who also have direct access to them.​​​​​​​​​

Studying marketing opens many career opportunities in business and industry; these range from the traditional aspect of communicating the value of products and services which already exist, to launching more innovative and technological products on the market.

Advertising also offers job possibilities, developing new products, brand management, sales, web marketing and marketing services to name but a few.

Careers: Luxury Brand Management spe​cialisation

This specialisation takes graduates into careers in the fast-expanding luxury and fashion areas. Graduates could move into careers more broadly in communication and marketing too.

Job opportunities: visual merchandiser, sales, retail manager, communication, marketing, PR, events manager, brand management and strategy.

Careers: Entrepreneurship & Business Administ​ration specialisation

Students learn to manage a business unit or run a whole business. They also learn how to create a new entity whether this be a new branch of an existing company or a completely new enterprise.

Careers: Global Business sp​ecialisation

Students will occupy managerial positions in companies that are developing abroad, or they may work in an advisory capacity to foreign companies setting up in France.

Careers: Supply Chain specialisa​tion

Graduates have high potential for recruitment in a wide range of industries and sectors. The field supply chain offers a variety of possible assignments and jobs rangin​g from generalist supply chain management, materials management and project management. Graduates will be able to work in other areas of the business too.

Job opportunities: Supply chain manager, purchasing manager, projecrt manager, quality manager, business process manager, inventory control specialist, logistics / supply chain analyst.

Careers: Management of Marine Environments spe​cialisation

This specialisation is for those who are passionate about the marine environment. It is largely based on project work and has a strong international component.

Job opportunities: researcher, aquaculture, marine ethology and ecology

Careers: Environmental Management speci​alisation

This specialisation leads to jobs in research, or more applied areas such as waste management, conservation and management of natural resources, consulting or contributing to global projects in international organisations.

Careers: Sustainable Development & Social Responsibility ​specia​lisation

This specialisation leads to managerial positions in sustainable development: audit companies, company SD departments or activities related to issues of development and awareness-raising in the developing world.

The field is almost unlimited, stretching from the world of industry to the banking sector and more.

Careers: Engineering & Innovation Managem​ent specialisation

As well as jobs in research and development, students can also leverage the managerial dimensions of the course, becoming project managers in companies.

With their double profile in engineering and management, students will be able to manage international production units and contribute to research and development departments, enabling new technologies to reach the market.

Careers:  Artificial Intelligence specialisation

For those who have both business and artificial intelligence competences, the future job market is a rewarding and exciting place to be. Artificial intelligence is a rapidly expanding area in business fields and research. The specific jobs are too many to name, but here are a few to get started: data analyst, AI officer, data designer, ethics officer, data protection officer.

Careers: Accounting specialisation

Accounting expertise gives graduates the choice of almost any sector to work in. The job market is always in need of those with knowledge in this area. Possible roles for graduates include: accounting assistant, financial controller, internal auditor, financial analyst, payroll manager and much more.

Careers: E-commerce and Digital Strategy specialisation

Expertise in e-commerce and digital strategy makes for in-demand graduates. Finding rewarding work is relatively easy as the sector is experiencing such rapid expansion and need for employees with these competencies.
